About Us

We were formerly known as Chestergate Wood Supplies, operating a successful local wood shop and DIY store based on Portwood, Stockport.

As our popularity grew for our great products and services, we served both trade and retail customers many of who became regular faces at our checkout. 

It made sense for us to switch to an online store using bot eBay and Amazon as selling markets as high street shopping became a thing of the past and footfall did significantly drop off in or last few years as a store on Portwood. 

The demand during the 2020-2021 pandemic increased hugely and so we made the choice to go into 2022 with our very own website.

We can stock what most outlets don't, and if we haven't got it, we can 99% get it !!

All our sheet materials can be cut to size and our range of DIY boards is vast and growing weekly. We are still Stockport's Number 1 sheet material supplier offering Melamine, MDF, Plywood and Pegboard.
